How far ahead do you usually book your vacations?
Just wondering what others usually do. Do you find you get better deals when you book far in advance or last minute? Thanks!

I usually plan far in advance.
I'm not spontaneous or organized enough to be spur of the moment- I'd be too stressed out.
I did get a good deal by booking our Jersey Shore Hotel for this Aug in like Dec. They sent us an email that the rates would go up Jan 1...so we looked in last summers room rates for this summer
I also find airfare tends to be cheaper earlier- not always, but in my experience

How far ahead do you usually book your vacations?
Montauk we book a year in advance. We get the same condo every year.
Any other vacation it just depends sometimes on location and time of year

Same. I have commitment issues and I don't like being locked in too far in advance

How far ahead do you usually book your vacations?
Usually 2 to 6 months in advance depending on where we are going. My DH has to schedule his vacation time in November for the following year, so we always know what dates we are travelling, but just decide where to go when it gets closer.

Usually no more then 6 months in advance. Generally is 2-3 months

If we're doing our usual Montauk camping trip, 9 months in advance (you have to book a spot and it's a process).
Other than that, usually two-three months. Portugal sometimes 5 months because flight prices are cheaper.

usually 2-4 months before. unless its Disney. that i book 6 months before, so that i can make the meal reservations i want at 6 months out LOL
although.... we did just book a cruise for November 2017 HAHA
