Luggage ... Hard or Soft
I need to replace my luggage for an upcoming trip. Do you recco hard or soft top luggage? Any brands that you recco to buy (or stay away from)?

DH likes the hard sided, but I don't care for it. The only hard sided ones I've seen are made so that half of you stuff goes on each side - when you open it there are 2 "compartments, with stuff on each side. I prefer the soft sided because you open the "top" and then all you stuff is in the one big compartment. (If there are hard sided ones that have the design of the soft sided, I would consider that, but I have't come across one like that)

I like soft. We've actually decided to go with rolling duffles from LL Bean. They are slightly lighter than regular bags which is important with the new luggage weight requirements.

I bought a hard sided suitcase for our last trip in Jan and I really liked it. It was so much lighter than my soft sided and it was huge on the inside.
