Moms who make baby food.. - Finger foods
I don't want to give her Puffs.
But I want her to try finger foods. She has no teeth, and all I can think of is small pieces of mushy bananas.
Any ideas?

I usually steam broccoli and carrots until very soft. I also give boiled apples sliced up.

Bananas are tough bc they're so slippery. It helps to use your fingers to break it apart at the seems rather than cutting with a knife.
I like starting with cheerios and my girls both loved them. Steamed carrots, peas, toast, shredded cheese, ripe pears, blueberries were all pretty early foods for us. They don't need teeth to chew anything but you have to just test out and see what they can handle.

Start with small pieces of just about anything. My DS didn't have any teeth until 1 year and was eating mostly solids by 9 months.

They don't! My first was gnawing on strips of steak and chicken starting around 8 months and she didn't get her first tooth until 10 months.

They don't! My first was gnawing on strips of steak and chicken starting around 8 months and she didn't get her first tooth until 10 months.
This is a whole new world for me

Google baby led weaning for ideas. It's a whole ideology around babies eating solids, which you don't have to follow, but you will find a lot of finger food ideas for the toothless set.

Babies don't need teeth to eat. My daughter eats everything. If I gave her a steak, she'd figure out a way to eat it.

Agree with most everyone else. My DD was eating pretty much everything cut up in very small pieces by 7/8 months. Don't underestimate those gums! We were also big fans of Cheerios instead of puffs.
