Interest in sports, what age?
My twins last year at 4 years old. My youngest at almost 3 but only because he was watching his siblings play. He's 3.5 now and just started playing t-ball

My kids have been involved in sports since pre-k. I signed them up for different things and then let them choose and stick with what really interests them.
My older DS took karate in pre-k, but he didn't really like it. He started soccer in pre-k. In kindergarten and first grade he played little league, but stopped after the second year. He started basketball in 2nd grade. He just saw them as activities and wasn't super into competitive sports until maybe 2-3rd grade. He's in 4th grade now and has figured out what he likes. He plays travel soccer in spring and fall and basketball in winter and summer league. He also skis in the winter (started at 4) and takes hip hop (for 3 years now.)
My younger DS is only in kindergarten now. He also started soccer in pre-k. He plays at the recreation level right now in fall and spring. We will switch him to travel when he's a little older. He also did a basketball clinic in the winter. He liked it well enough that he will probably do it next year too. Like his brother, he's also learning to ski and started hip hop this year, but dancing isn't really his thing. To be perfectly honest, he's not really incredibly into any of it. He's just not a super sporty kid. If it was up to him he would be on his iPad all day every day, but he knows that's not an option and they have to play a sport every season.

Still waiting and she's almost 6.
I have a feeling she is going to be like me- no interest in playing team sports at all.
She just asked to take gymnastics at 5 years old. That's about the extent of it

Same. DD is almost 6 and has only been showing interest in gymnastics.

My ds is 4 starting lil league next month. Been asking to play. Dd "says" she wants to play soccer. I know my kid, she really doesnt LOL.

I started my older son at 4. I tried to start my younger son in sports at 3 and it didn't work - this year at 4 he's excited to play soccer (it's a little clinic).

Interest in sports, what age?
For my dc that like sports, around 3yo. T-ball around here starts at 4. My 8yo is obsessed with sports. Plays football, basketball, baseball-all the "traditional" team sports. My 3 and 4yos seem to be like that-it is all sports, all day long with them. But my oldest is 10 and hates sports, has never wanted to be on a sports team. We tried little league early on with him and it was pretty clear he didn't like it. But he likes snowboarding in winter and sailing in the summer, more solitary activities.

DS really didn't show an interest. We signed him up at 5 to play t-ball and football. He liked both enough that we signed him up again this season.

Interest in sports, what age?
We signed DS up for soccer back in the fall. He had no interest in it at all. He just wanted to know when it was going to be over - he is 5.
He enjoys drawing and building things I.e Legos. His school has science club and Lego club, so that is what he does.

At 5-6 (in K), seems like the boys are separating into sports lovers vs not interested.
I think a part of it is dependent on family interest (we don't watch football, so DS gets no exposure or interest in that, but DH plays soccer, so DS likes that & is actually very good and will be on a team next week!).
But yes, DS loves Lego & science more right now & has a "superhero" click at school vs toss around footballs.

We started at 2.5, he was really into it by 3.5.
ETA: He's way more into the social side, being with friends/other kids, than the game, but he loves to be active and takes winning/losing seriously, which I don't like.

almost always DS has been in sports since preschool.
