Nursing past a year?
I never thought I'd be posting this, but nursing dd2 is going extremely well and at over 9 months she's still ebf. I also have an entire deep freezer filled. So I'm thinking I'll go past a year.
Do I introduce cows milk after I'm done nursing and done with my stash?

Up to you. My DS is 23 months and still nurses. He has both BM and cow's milk at this point. I usually offer cow's milk when I don't want to nurse.

I BF until 15 months, introduced almond milk at 12 months. I really don't think you need another type of milk while you are BF anyway, so do it when you feel comfortable.

That's entirely your choice. We introduced cow's milk to all of our kids at a year, despite the fact that they were still nursing. My first weaned at 15 months, my second at a little over 2, and my third is going to be 2 in a few weeks and still going. They all usually nursed at specific times (bedtime/ naptime/wake up) and then drank milk with food.

This is basically what I remember doing also.

I didn't introduce anything other than bm until I ran out of everything frozen. At a year I stopped pumping and used almond/cashew milk for her daytime cups and nursed when I was home.

This is sort of me too. I bf and at 18mos I stopped pumping so at daycare she took coconut milk in a sippy cup to school. And I only nursed in am and pm.
Eventually cut it down to night only and then stopped. She's never drank cows milk. She obviously had in cheese and yogurt but now I limit those for health reasons anyway.

Nursing past a year?
Definitely a personal choice. For me, I didn't feel comfortable weaning until I knew my son would take a milk substitute. We use non dairy milks due to a dairy intolerance but I started cutting his bedtime bottle with almond milk and when he was fully on almond milk at night, we started nursing less and less. He weaned fully at around 17 months. He only drinks 8-9 oz of almond milk a day because he won't drink it out of a cup and I did t want to bring back a daytime bottle but I try to make sure he gets calcium and fats in other ways.

Nursing past a year?
Dd2 is 16 months and still nursing. She actually just had almond milk for the first time this week because I was out past her bedtime. I was happy she took it well but since she's likely my last I'm glad to go for a while longer. She nurses plenty and has lots of cheese and yogurt so I don't see a need to give milk regularly.

Since I was back at work - I had dd take cow's milk at daycare but nursed when she was with me. She nursed until 18 months.

Re: Nursing past a year?
I nursed way longer than a year. I did not want to pump past a year. I work FT and hated pumping. I stopped pumping, he took cows milk at babysitter or out of the house for long times, nursed when at home, no problems at all.

As with anything, it will depend on who you ask and what you read. I was told at 1 that as long as they are eating lots of dairy (at least 3 servings a day, in average) it's not at all necessary to introduce an alternative form of milk.
Nursing a toddler is such a wonderful experience. I'm so happy for both of you that you'll be continuing this journey!
