Maine or Cape Cod/Martha’s Vineyard? with 3 kids

We’re thinking about taking a week and using the timeshare to go away in early July with the 3 kids (8 years old, 4 ½ and 1 ½).

We’ve never been to any of the above places but have heard good things about them.

Which one would you recommend?

Just want to spend some family time, beach it up, swim, eat yummy food and relax.

Bar Harbor Maine is great. You have Acadia National Park right there (which you could spend several days in), cute little town for shopping, eating, walking around. Also boat rides for Whale watching. Not sure about beaches outside of Acadia.

Cape Cod is also nice, I prefer going all the way up to P-town area though. Again, nice town to walk around, eat, etc. Great ocean beaches, whale watching.

Both are what I would call low-key, relaxing places for a nice family vacation.

We went to Ogunquit, Maine last summer and loved it. There was a lot to do and it's right on the beach.
My in laws live in Cape Cod so we have been there so many times. I personally liked Maine a lot more.

I'm partial to Maine bc we have a summer camp up there. So much to do, kids love it

I've never been to the cape but I love Maine! I can't wait to being my dd's to bar harbor!
