Finding a sitter
We just received dh's teaching schedule for the fall semester, and it seems like our best option is to find a sitter to watch our dd2 from about 3:00-5:30 twice weekly.
Any ideas on the best place for me to start my search for someone? I have no clue where to start! Any tips/advice? Any input as to whether you think this position (given the hours) would be desirable or hard to fill? What would be a good rate price-wise?

Re: Finding a sitter
I'd try Care.com when it's much closer. I'm sure there are college kids who would have that time free and would want to earn some extra money.

Finding a sitter
I would post on your local fb moms group. I always see a ton of people posting about sitter or looking for sitter jobs. I found both of my date night sitters from my town's fb group.

There is a facebook group called "Childcare on Long Island", you can ask on there, or if there is a local moms group on FB I'd ask there too.
