Two different politcal sides
Is anyone's DH/SO on the completely other political side? How do you handle it?
This is a source of contention in my house as DH and I just don't see eye to eye. Like not even close. I avoid political conversations like the plague, whereas DH spews his feelings loud and clear knowing I don't feel the same way.
Anyone else in the same boat?

DH and I are on different sides, but I am the vocal, outspoken one. DH is not really into politics at all and I follow it pretty closely and will voice my opinion to him a lot. Sometimes he takes the bait and we will have a "discussion", but other times he just lets me rant lol. It's doesn't get very contentious because I try to speak respectfully and DH doesn't really get into it with me too deeply.

Yes. My Dh and I agree on some points but other times it becomes very heated. I usually avoid the bait and try to ignore if he tries to get into a "discussion" but other times I've had a little wine in me and we will go at it, lol.

Dh was never into politics until this year and its because of trump. We have had several heated discussions the last few weeks because of our differing views

Nope. I couldn't do it.
As much as I loved my husband; if he agreed with trump or pretty much any of the GOP candidates, I would reconsider our relationship. I couldn't be with someone who agrees with such hate. I am into politics too much to just not discuss it and ignore it in my house.

This is how I feel. I am not married but my social views reflect the core of who I am. I'd need someone who is a match to that.

We do. Im a bleeding heart liberal, DH is SUPER conservative. We just don't talk about politics AT ALL bc it ends up in a HUGE fight. The kids are raised with my ideals. If he ever supported Trump, Id seriously consider divorce though. Seriously.

We are. I hold nothing back. He listens. I won't fight with people about my views. I respect other's even if I don't agree with it. And for the few hours a week he isn't working, I'm not fighting about these assholes.

I wouldn't be able to do it. I've dated men that were on the opposite side of my views and as soon as I found out, I ended it. I really have no patience for ignorance or for anyone that doesn't value equal rights for everyone.
Working in a male dominated field has really opened my eyes to the blatant sexism that still occurs today. I just don't understand how any woman can be married to someone that doesn't consider women to be equals. I see it every single day though.

No, I'm not in that situation, thankfully.
I dated two people that agreed with the other side of my views and it was a deal breaker.
