Princesses/wdw question
My dd turned 3 in December, and her love for the Disney princesses is in full swing. Until what age did this infatuation last?
I'm asking because I really want to take her to Disney while she has this high level of adoration so that she can experience the magic of meeting the princesses, but I don't see a trip in the very near future (we have a newborn, plus money is tight). How long do you think I can push off a visit before the interest and magic dwindles?

Re: Princesses/wdw question
My DD started becoming Disney Princess obsessed around age 2, she's 7.5 now and still is! You have plenty of time. That being said, we took her to Disney for the first time at age 6 and she freaked out, she was in heaven. Absolutely overjoyed and completely speechless as she was meeting every princess. It was so awesome!

Princesses/wdw question
LOL AJ will be 8 in August. She's been in love with Cinderella since 2. She's already head over heels with her new Star Wars Jedi Cinderella shirt she has for her WDW trip in November.
She's planning her breakfast with the princesses and is talking about her chance to hug her favorite princess and show her the shirt.
Here's why: Her HAND See that? It says I Love you Sign haha at least that's how AJ reads it We sign I love you every morning and this is close enough. It's Star Wars It's Cinderella It's Love It's therefore AWESOME!

Re: Princesses/wdw question
I see it dwindle in most of our friends' kids at 5-6 (round Kindergarten).
DS classmate girls are into rainbows, sports, but not princesses. He's 5.

Princesses/wdw question
my daugthers are 4 and 6. we went 2 years ago when they were 2 and 4. My oldest (now 6) is starting to fade out of it and that is excatly why we are going again this year. I wanted one more trip before it was totally gone lol. And to be honest, I think she still even has the little interest she does only bc she has a younger (4) sister that is at the peak of princess loving

Princesses/wdw question
With my SIL (there a 15 year gap) the magic of Disney started to fade at 6/7 and princess a year after that and she moved to puppies.

Ok maybe we will aim for next summer when she's 4.5. DH and I are both educators so we have to go during prime vacation season,

Re: Princesses/wdw question
I think 4.5 would be perfect. I would say by age 5. My DD was 6 on our last trip and I think she was over it.

Re: Princesses/wdw question
FYI - Even when your DD is at an age where she isn't ga-ga for the Disney Princesses she will still LOVE Disney World itself and have an AMAZING time! Disney is awesome no matter what age you are! I'm almost 41 and still LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything about Disney World and can't wait to go back EVERY time, I feel like a kid all over again!

Princesses/wdw question
We took DD at 3.5 and it was perfect. She's turning 5 and while she is still into princesses, it's already fading. For example, she was Bell for Halloween two years ago but last year she was a pirate. She has a little brother, so that might sway things a bit. I think her princess days have peaked but I'm sure she'll still be thrilled to meet them again if we go in the next year or hopefully two.

Princesses/wdw question
DD is 8 and this is the first year going to WDW that she really doesn't care about seeing the princesses. Of course, she loves The Descendants, which ties in the whole Disney princess thing.

Re: Princesses/wdw question
My girls are 5 and 8 and were in love with the princesses when we went last year. My 8 year olds favorite princess is sleeping beauty and I don't ever want that to change.

Re: Princesses/wdw question
DD is 5 and is still into them, but maybe not quite as obsessed as she was (though still loves Frozen). That said, we are taking her for the first time next winter (along with dd2 who will be 3) and I think she'll still be in awe of the princesses.

Re: Princesses/wdw question
I think it depends on the child, their friends etc. my older one had friends who liked princesses until about 7. My younger one had friends telling her princess are for babies last year in kindergarten. Now they aren't into princesses anymore....but....ask to go back to wdw and would be happy to see the princess and do the princess boutique. Btw BBB takes girls I believe until 12. Every time we have looked in there were several 10-12 year olds there getting made up. So while they might not be obsessed some girls might still secretly enjoy it later. But I find they are out of princesses around 5-7.
