Nightmares at 9.5 months?
The last few nights DD hasn't been sleeping through the night (which is odd for her). I'd say 2-3 times throughout the night she'll cry out, almost a shriek, and start to cry a bit. Sometimes she calms herself down and falls back asleep, other times she gets up and just wants to be held. Could she be having a nightmare/bad dream? Or is this possibly part of the infamous 8-10 month sleep regression?

DD is 9 months old and does the same. I think it's just typical sleep. She wakes up. Wimpers or cries. Eventually finds a paci and falls back asleep. Sometimes it's probably her just wanting me to come in and cuddle her...which I don't do.

I need your strength and words of wisdom! I'm a sucker for a baby clinging to the rails of their crib, crying! On some nights I think its best I just turn my monitor off so that I don't hear her crying (both she and I sleep with sound machines so it would drown it out).
