Does anyone else have a kid who hates cuddles and kisses and hugs??

I come from a very close, loving family where we hugged and kissed a lot all of the time. My DD who is only 3.5 (but has literally been like this since she was born) hates to be held, cuddled, hugged, facing towards our bodies, or kissed. I figured today of all days I could use "the day of love where we tell mommy and daddy we love them and give them a hug and a kiss" ... but it didn't even work. Is there something wrong with her or are there other kids out there who just hate affection?? It's so sad and bizarre to me...

I was like that as a kid. I hated being touched. I remember dreading when we had to leave family functions because everyone would hug me. I almost never hugged my parents but I absolutely loved them. I'm still not a very touchy person. I'd like to think I'm a relatively normal, well-adjusted adult (emphasis on relatively )
Some people just aren't affectionate.

My 2 month old dd loves being held but hates kisses and everyone jokes that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

My daughters scream and fight and wiggle out of our arms. My 5 yr old never wanted to be held. My 2 yr old is more cuddly.

There's nothing wrong just her personality. I did not come from a cuddly family.

My DD was like that, she only recently became more affectionate at 4yrs old bc she has noticed how much attention her lil brother (2yrs) gets from being super affectionate, he is a total mush and totally melts hearts with all his hugs and kisses. It's just diff personalities!

Lol. My nephew is like that. Totally normal just not affectionate. My dd is only affectionate with chosen people. I don't force her to hug or kias people.

My dd was like that until about halfway through my pregnancy and now she's a bit more affectionate. But seriously- it baffled me too that someone I created wasn't like me and didn't want to hug and kiss me all the time. I seriously would beg her for hugs.
