Car Seats After Accident...Need New
So last Monday I was in a really bad car accident and my seats were in the truck.
I now have to replace them and don't know what to get that's comparable without spending too much. My car insurance will only reimburse me $200.00 per seat.
I had the Britax 70CS.
How is the Marathon G4.1?

Is that how much you paid for the seats? If not, I would try to fight it. We were able to do this, but my DH is a nut about keeping receipts.

Makes sense. Ours was about 6 months old and they were trying to give us like $50-75 less than what we paid.

how old are your kids? are they ready for Front facing? if so I would go with the Frontier.
I have a marathon (I assume the G4.1 is just a newer model) and like it use it currently for my 2 year old and used it with my 5 year old.
I have my 5 year old in a britax frontier and I love it.
if you want to stick with the model you have now. TRU is having the trade in right now and you get 25% off a seat 30% if you are a card holder.

My one daughter is 5.5 years old and the other is 6 months but I'm going to just get a convertible seat and save for her when she's ready since Insurance is paying and all that was in the car for her was my base and I have an extra of that.

If you still have the seats that were in the accident, definite trade them in for the coupon!
FM ny55angel or go on car seats for the Littles to get a recommendation that works for your kids and vehicle.

I had to replace mine after an accident and they didn't give me any price limit. That stinks that they are limiting you. I replaced my DD's Graco Nautilus with another one and I actually forgot what model I got for my DS but it was a Graco too.

For the 6 month old, I'd consider the Graco 4Ever car seat. It's around $300 but it'll be the only car seat you will ever need for her. Plus, if you use a 20% off coupon at BBB, then it's something like $250, which is very little OOP for you.

Same here, we just went through this on my wife's car. they didn't advise of a price limit, but we didn't exceed $200. It was like $195 with tax.
We got a Graco Extend2Fit which is a new model that came out recently. Seems like a nice seat. We previously had a Graco Size4Me, which we liked.
we're in the same situation in that we have a 4.5 year old and 1 on the way. We will need a convertible car seat anyway, so might as well have it replaced by the insurance company. My son really wanted to switch to a booster, so we did get one of those too that we paid for.
If you wnt a seat that babies R Us sells, definitely bring the other one in for the trade in event to get the 25% off.
