Inexpensive location for 2nd birthday party
My daughter is turning 2 on May 4th. We're starting to think about her party. I can't justify spending crazy amounts of money on a 2nd birthday party. For both of our boys' 2nd's we had their parties at little play places. But one of them is closed now and the other one has upped their party price quite a but since then. So... I'm looking for recommendations for a low-key party place that's good for a 2yo and is reasonably priced. It would not be a ton of kids, somewhere between 12 and 15. TIA!

Where are you located? We had DS's 4th birthday at Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank and the kids had a blast. It was reasonably priced as well.
We had his 2nd birthday at My Gym in West Babylon and they were excellent as well.

Gymboree is perfect for that age IMO. Or a small house party, if you have the space.

Re: Inexpensive location for 2nd birthday party
I would probably do backyard party if my kids bday were in spring/summer but they aren't. for DD I got a groupon/living social deal for a place. which is why I did it. it cost me I think around $150-200 and I figured it would probably cost me that much for some kind of entertainment at my house and food for the kids. so I suggest look there for some deals.
For DS I had it at tutor time in Lindenhurst it was $150 for craft party and they got to play in this are they have. I know the prices went up to $200. the base price is for just a simple craft you can add to it to have a better craft but you could also buy your own and bring it in. I bought ceramic off of oriental trading (I think or maybe it was amazon) and brought those for the kids to paint.
both parties covered up to at least 10 kids.

This. DD is 2 and went to a birthday party at my gym yesterday. She had a BLAST. The parent was talking about the price and what it included and said it was the best bank for their buck.

Re: Inexpensive location for 2nd birthday party
I would just skip the 2nd birthday. DS had one & it was a waste. DD didn't get a second (we had immediate family over for pizza & cake).

Re: Inexpensive location for 2nd birthday party
just hosted DD's 2nd bday at a nearby Y. it was awesome. enough room for all the adults to come and celebrate too. we could bring in our own food which helped with $. and the kids had a great time with all the gym equipment.
i may even do it again in a future year!
