IPOD touch
If your kids have them can you chime in please?
My DD is turning 10 soon and I am trying to come up with present ideas as she seems to have a lot of stuff already. She has a kindle and uses that to watch movies, listen to music etc. She is desperate for a phone and I said not until she is 12. I was wondering if the IPOD touch would be worth getting? Can she download or play her music from my amazon account on the ipod? Can she text from it?
What do your kids use them for mostly? If its for playing games then I don't think it work work.
Thanks...clueless!!!

IPOD touch
She can text from it but only to another iMessage or apple user. Its essentially a phone without a number. They can use FaceTime to "talk".

Re: IPOD touch
My DS and my SO's DS got them last year for Christmas. They are now 7&8. They are the best gifts they've ever gotten.
They can text, well imessage, with another iphone or ipod touch. My DS is set up with his own email account and he texts me and facetimes me when he is at his Dad's. There is also facetime audio. All of these things are just like on an iphone, the other person has to have an iphone or an ipad.
You can put amazon apps on it, so she can listen to music, etc.
They can't download games on it without entering the password, but both of them are very good at asking first.
I think it's a great gift
