XPOST - Foxwoods Resort

Foxwoods
Has anyone every stayed? What did you think? We've stayed at Mohegan Sun and LOVED it, so beautiful and clean. We're going to see Bill Burr in February at Foxwoods and there is a Groupon deal for the Fox Tower but I'm reading such mixed reviews on it. It's also NOT cheap, at $375/night I want to make sure it's nice and worth the money. What have been your experiences? Thanks!!

Re: XPOST - Foxwoods Resort
We did once- it was the MGM Grand at the time, not sure what that building is called now. It was ok. The room could have been cleaner- and the furniture was a bit beat up. I was surprised as it was a newer building and looked so nice. We got a big suite with a jetted tub. Nice but I still think Mohegan hotel is nicer, cleaner, and i just love the layout of mohegan better. The hotel tower we stayed at was SO far from everything at Foxwoods...long walk or a shuttle ride
IMO Mohegan just blows Foxwoods away on every level.

I didn't love it. I thought the rooms were bleh and dated. The only thing I liked were the restaurants.

Stayed in the FowTower twice. I absolutly love foxwoods.Everything is convenient to the Fox Tower. the restuarants are great. the clubs are fun. the place is spotless- the rooms, the casino, etc. we've stayed in a suite & a regular room and have been happy both times. we cant wait to go back.

I've stayed at both Foxwoods and Mohegan. Foxwoods was ok but Mohegan is WAY nicer and cleaner with better service. When we go to Foxwoods now, we stay at a neighboring Holiday Inn for half the price. They also provide a free shuttle to Foxwoods.

Re: XPOST - Foxwoods Resort
only went to Foxwoods once and it was enough for me to determine i didn't need to go back.
the rooms were perfectly fine in the tower - clean and modern, no issue there.
i wasn't a fan because of the layout - it was such a long walk to get everywhere and the biggest turn off to me was that they stopped serving alcohol on Sat night at 1:30 am!!! They also were VERY lax in sending around waitresses for drinks while you are in the casino. We had to hunt them down all the time and even then they were hard to find. The restaurants were ok, but again.. all over the place and when the bars/club shut down it was a mass exodus of people all over the place.
Compared to Borgata, its a sad experience. If you've never been anywhere else, i'm sure its fine though

I've stayed a few times. Yes, its not as nice as Mohegan Sun but it's also a lot cheaper. The rooms are nice and clean (I've never had a cleanliness issue and I'm very particular) though a little small. It is a bit of a walk to Foxwoods, but if that's a problem you can stay in one of the hotels IN Foxwoods. The Grand Pequot hotel is more centrally located and the rooms are bigger (but not as modern). $375 doesn't sound like much of a deal though, how much is it without a groupon?

It's stupid priced but so far it's the cheapest, everywhere else online it's at least $499/night . Ridiculous. We're going on a Saturday night, I think that's why.
Thank you everyone for the input. I appreciate it.

Stayed in Fox Tower last year. It was nice. Now Tanger Outlets are right inside the resort.
