target vs jc penney for photos
I usually do bday pics at target for DS with a groupon, but i don't like the groupon packages they have. Was thinking of trying jc penney?
Those who have used both, which did you prefer?!

Haven't done either but I like Picture People. They have a Groupon that I bought today, actually.

I have done target, jc penney and picture people. I liked the picture people pics the best.

I did Target once, they were nice, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't great and it was definitely rushed and crowded.
The Picture People - I got the Groupon - was just as good of a deal as Target and it wasn't crowded, I had a specific appointment and wasn't rushed -- it was plenty long, the photog was great and the pictures came out excellent. I was very happy. They have locations in Roosevelt Field -- the mall and the Garden City BBB. They also have one in the Huntington Station BBB location.

My go to person is Selena at jcp in Bayshore. She has yet to disappoint. If you can book at appt during the week. There is no rushing and it's very laid back.

We just went to jcpenny in massapequa for a picture of all the grandkids for my mom and they were pretty good!
There were 6 kids under 6 and we got a great pic! Granted we only needed one good pic!

I have always done JC Penney at RF. This past christmas I did Target and I was not happy with the pictures or the photographers. They are actually owned by the same company but we have had better photographers at JC Penney

I just did DD's second birthday pictures at JCP in Massapequa. I love the way they came out. If you can, request the photographer Emily. She's great with little ones. She also did the Christmas pics that we took my DD and my nephew for.
ETA: I've done Picture People too, but I feel they're very pushy with the "extras" to purchase. They wouldn't take no for an answer. I always make sure to use the groupon and try to get the best one available.
