Please Answer Some Jury Duty Questions For Me

Hi,

I just called in and I have to appear on Monday at Supeme Court in Riverhead at 9:30 AM. Some others have to appear in Central Islip, but at 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM. Never knew it could be so late. Are those people expected to go to work then before or do employers who pay you for Jury Duty pay you for the day no matter what time it begins? Totally just curious. Is my placement at Supreme Court more likely that if I'm picked it'll be for a "bigger" case? I'm a NYC Teacher and I'm just trying to work this all out in my head.

Are Riverhead courts hard to get to/get around? Does anyone know the parking situation at the Supreme Court?

If you're on jury duty, even for a few hours, you get the whole day off from work. The parking at Riverhead is fine. There are a few free parking lots in the area. I was there for 7 days on a trial and never had a problem parking.
