Favorite Mod Disney Hotel?
POFQ is IMO the best of the moderates. The resort is compact and everything is short walk. Unlike Riverside (which is huge) there are no internal bus stops. Yes the dining is considered quick service, but it was good. (for table service you really need to stay at a deluxe). I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The only moderate hotel that has room service is Coronado Springs. The moderates do not have private balconies.
None of the moderates are within walking distance to the parks, so you will need to take a bus to and from the Magic Kingdom.
Friends of ours LOVE the French Quarter - they stay every year.
We stayed at Coronado last February and are returning again this February. There are a lot of amenities that make it feel more like a deluxe. There is a sit down restaurant. There is also a spa that has an experience similar to Bippity Boppity Boo. Our favorite part though was that this hotel is used for a lot of conferences so it wasn't crowded at all. We had the pool all to ourselves one day. The buses weren't crowded. Compared to All Star Movies (where we stayed the year before), the bus ride was SO fast! The main pool is gorgeous here too.

I might have to look this up for for February. How much is the spa thing for girls and do you book far in advance? What building were you in? I booked CBR, but am having second thoughts

Re: Favorite Mod Disney Hotel?
We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and Coronado Springs. I much prefer POR even though the bus rides from there were a little longer. The food there (table service and quick service) was better and there were little pools for like every 2 buildings. We often had a pool to ourselves! Overall nicer grounds too.

The items you're looking for are more deluxe than moderate. Coronado Springs has room service and since it's a convention resort feels more deluxe than some of the other moderates. Great table service options and a nice pool.
I love Port Orleans and Beach Club too.
Animal Kingdom Lodge is a deluxe resort but is not priced as high as the others and might be a nice option for you. It isn't close to parks other than Animal Kingdom but it isn't very far either and I've found the bus service there to be better than most moderates.
If you're not woeking with a travel agent I would love to help you choose the best resort for your family and help you make magical memories to last a lifetime.

Re: Favorite Mod Disney Hotel?
thanks everyone!
we booked with Port Orleans FQ!
At first, we couldn't find a room so we booked with Riverside. But then Tripadvisor sent me a deal via email the next week with a room at FQ. So we cancelled Riverside for FQ.
all your replies really helped a lot. thanks again!
