4 month/5month old check in

Is your dc sleeping through the night? If not, how many times are they waking up at night? How much and how often are they eating during the day? What time do they go to bed?

My 4 month old goes to bed around 9:30-10pm and is getting up several times per night. Then my toddler hears us and is getting up a few times as well. Between the two kids, I'm up several times per night and I am sooo tired. We really need to fix this and get on a good schedule !! Any ideas would be helpful! Chat Icon

4 month/5month old check in

My children are anomalies. Just like her big sister, DD2 (4 months) has been sleeping through the night practically since birth. This past week, she's been waking up around 4:30-5:30 to eat. I'm thinking growth spurt. She goes to bed whenever we go to bed 11-12. But she usually falls asleep before that.

Re: 4 month/5month old check in

DS will be 5 mos on the 12th. I try to put him down on the later side like you. If he goes down bet 10 and 11p, after a bottle, he'll wake up at 5a. It takes me about an hour (still on maternity leave so I have this luxury) to change him, feed him, settle him and then he'll sleep another couple of hours.

I'm traveling and am not home. Last night DH gave him his last bottle at 8:30p and put him down around 9:30p, up at 2:30a. Chat Icon He's not waking up multiple times at night but the earlier he goes down, the earlier (middle of the night), he's up, which I'd like to avoid. He can be a finicky napper during the day, so if he doesn't sleep much, he'll give me longer stretches at night to make up for it.

I give him 8 oz bottles and he's drinking them for the most part, esp before bed and when he wakes up. He may also drink 4 or 5 ozs and take the rest a couple of hours later. Eating every 3 1/2 to 4 hours, sometimes earlier or later depending.

I also have a toddler and we put her to bed late too. Not my preference but it is what it is. We try to put her to sleep first because she will wake the baby with her loud voice and shenanigans. She is a restless but deep sleeper so most of the time she'll sleep through baby waking up and me taking care of him. But we also have to settle her several times throughout the night.

I feel you. We are tired too and just taking it day by day. Returning to work soon and am worried it's going to be a sh!t show.

My DD just turned 6 months and is STILL not sleeping through the night. Chat Icon I don't expect it to happen for a while.
