3 month old check-in!

What are your little three month olds up to?

How are they sleeping at night? How/where/when are they napping?
Any signs of a schedule developing?

Would love to hear how other mamas are doing!

Re: 3 month old check-in!

HI!!! DS will be 12 weeks on Friday. He's been pretty much sleeping through the night for a while- about 9 hours, 9 to 6. He is on a good schedule so far. Probably naps about 3 times a day lasting anywhere from half hour to three hours, lol. Will only nap in swing though. We still swaddle at night. He rolled over from front to back the other day. He eats up a storm, we found out I don't make enough breast milk so he gets 4 bottles a day. I still bf in case he gets a little for the immunities. He smiles and giggles and babbles a lot now. The only concern I have now is I think he may be starting to teeth. Lots of drool, hands in mouth and now ear tugging. Looked in ear with otoscope and no infection so Iam assuming teething.Last dr appt he was almost 13 pounds. What about you? Chat Icon

Re: 3 month old check-in!

Im jealous that you have kids that sleep through the night! With that being said I wasn't expecting much since my son was the worlds worse sleeper haha.

My dd is 3 months..she still wakes up 1-2 times at night but im okay with it because she nurses and falls right back to sleep (and most of the time im half asleep still while she is nursing haha). She smiles a TON and just started to laugh- which is the greatest sound ever! She is also completely in love and mesmerized by her big brother who she watches and smiles at all day <3

Re: 3 month old check-in!

To answer my own questions...DS will be 12 weeks tomorrow.

DS sleeps from 7-7 with two wake-ups to feed, at 1:00 and 4:00 approximately. Can't wait for those to end.

He takes FOREVER to get down for naps in general which KILLS me.. on average, he probably takes about 3 naps a day but that third one is always impossible to get so I sometimes let him take a cat nap on the boob. Stays up about 1.5-2hrs at a time.

No interest in rolling, gets on his side sometimes but gets ticked off about it.

Loves to laugh and smile, sooo social, I'm guessing that's why he doesn't want to nap, doesn't want to miss the action Chat Icon

DD is 3 months. She is eating 5 oz every 3-4 hours but goes 7-9 hours at night! She has "conversations" with us now and smiles a lot. She can get to her side but still dislikes tummy time!!!!

3 month old check-in!

DD turned 3 months this past Saturday. Time is flying way too fast Chat Icon She is eating 4 6oz bottles during the day. Naps some days 3-4 times for sometimes a half hour and sometimes a 2-3 hours. She sleeps from 6/6:30pm- 7am without waking up. She has two teeth that are about the break through and is rolling over from back to front!

Re: 3 month old check-in!

Can I ask how long your LO's are staying up before they go down for naps/bedtime? It is IMPOSSIBLE to get DS down for naps and I can't tell if he's undertired or overtired!

DD is going to be 16 weeks this Saturday, time is going by way TOO fast. She turned from front to back at 13 weeks and now coos a lot and just started giggling. She is drooling a lot too and recently found out how to just put her thumb in her mouth instead of her whole hand, lol. She is eating 4 oz every 2.5-3 hrs, and I think it is time to add half an oz, she fusses once the bottle is done. She naps 3-4 times a day, ½ an hour to 45 mins at a time. She was sleeping through the night 9-6 since 11 weeks, but now gets up once around 2am. Not too bad, once she gets changed, eats & burps she falls right back asleep until 7-8am.

melbalalala - She is usually up for about 1-1.5 hours before she goes down for a nap. She does get extra fussy and cranky at the end of the day, when she is super tired.
