Where to go on our east coast roadtrip?
We're looking to take a road trip this summer down the east coast ending up in central Florida. Anyone have any recommendations of fun things to do/see along the way? We're looking at a total of about 10 days beginning to end. We will be traveling with a 10, 8, and 7 yr old. Any family campgrounds not too far off the beaten path would be appreciated too.

We did a trip like that over the summer. We drove overnight and spent one day in Savannah. Stayed overnight then left in the morning for St. Augustine (they have a pirate ship cruise - my DS loved it). After that, we drove to Titusville, Fl, stayed overnight and then went to the Kennedy Space Center the next day. That night we drove to Orlando for six nights. We did one day Disney (been several times before but DH insisted), Universal, Medieval Times, Legoland and of course pool time.
We also spent a couple days on the west coast (Clearwater Beach) after Orlando.

The Blue Ridge Mountains are beautiful! Chimney Rock Park in NC and Asheville, NC are 2 places I'd try to get to on our trip.

Chimney rock was such a great little hike
There's a lot of really cute small towns around there

Sounds like a great trip! St. Augustine is a definite. Thanks for the input.

The Biltmore Estate is in or near asheville and such an amazing place. I went around age 10 or so and was in awe.

You could make a stop in Philly and/or DC. Plenty of things to do/see.
