Need a one night getaway- no more than 2 hours away from LI

Hi everyone,

I am looking to book a one night getaway for my husband's birthday and need something close by. We only have a sitter for one night so our options are limited. We have been to Woodloch, Mohonk, New Hope... So i would like something new.

Any suggestions?

This might actually work for us... He loves to gamble. Any hotel you are able to recommend?

He likes wine but isnt too much of a drinker but he is definitely someone who appreciates a pricey dinner.

Love the above spots- we typically visit them pretty frequently...

What about a night in the city? You could do a nice dinner and drinks or dinner and show.

The hotel at Mohegan Sun. It's beautiful. Are you going during the week? If so they have great packages to stay there.

You should look into Foxwoods too. Great hotel and restaurants and they now have the Tanger outlets there if you like to shop. There are also wineries in the area if you want to venture out.

I just bought a groupon for Foxwoods for DH's birthday. We stayed there for our minimoon. We liked Mohegan more but the price was good this time for Foxwoods.
