What to give Daycare Teachers?
My DD is in daycare and i would like to give her 2 teachers something just not sure what.
i was thinking gift cards? but how much?

What to give Daycare Teachers?
You'd think I'd be good at this since I used to be a daycare teacher lol.
I'm debating between $50-$100 per teacher (in home, 3 teachers, 2 kids)

We are giving $50 cash to the 3 main teachers and $20 to the 2 assistants who are only there for 2 hours in the morning.

When DD had 2 main teachers they got $50 amex cards each
If she only had one main teacher it was $100 amex card for her

Last year we gave the 2 main teacher $50 each and the early am/late pm teachers $15-$20 each.

Always give Gift Cards. And usually a little trinket or something.

I used to be a daycare/Preschool teacher and always just got cheap little knickknacks probably from the dollar store. lmao. I would have loved to have parents like you guys in my class! haha.
As for me, I had DD make both of her teachers a Christmas card and then we put a Starbucks gift card inside each one. Since most daycare/preschool workers don't usually get Christmas bonuses like a lot of other jobs do, it's nice to give what you can, but honestly, even a small amount is appreciated. I feel like it depends on how often your child is in their care. In my case, they only have DD for 9 hours a week (split between 3 days). I feel like I gave a fair amount, but definitely would have upped it if she were full-time.

Can I ask how much you gave each teacher? DS is in a program the same amount of days & hours as your DD and I have no idea how much is fair to give.

I think we use to do $25 gift cards for the main teachers... something small like candy for the director and end of day helper.

I am give all teachers and directors pashmina scarves with gift cards. directors I will probably give like $10 gift card to Panera bread. teachers probably a $25-$30 visa gift cards. I have at least 3 teachers to buy for maybe 5 (I am debating on two because DS is in a room that's split but usually ends up on the other side at some point). I am also baking cupcakes in a jar for the whole school; I do this or I get breakfast one day for them because everyone knows my kids and watches them at some point!
