lump in breast shortly after giving birth?
I had my 3rd dd in july...in sept i found a lump on my left breast which was bothering me. I was also still leaking even though i didn't breast feed this time.. so i went to my ob who said the leaking was ok..sometimes it takes up to 3 months to stop but said have an ultrasound. i did and it came back ok. A few weeks later i was still getting pain so i went to a breast surgeon, who did an an exam..took a look at the ultraound pics and said he thought it was just a clogged duct.. and said i also had one on my right breast and to give it another month or 2 and it should go away. So come november, i still feel it go back to the breast surgeon who said lets have another ultrasound but he thinks its nothing, probably just hormones and to give it time. My ultraound with him came back fine too.
I don't know why but i'm still so nervous! I feel this lump and its making me crazy. What should i do? wait a few months and go back? go to another breast surgeon? I'm not sure but im getting really upset over this. ugh

If you have ANY doubts,no to another breast surgeon for a second opinion just to ease your mind. Better to be over cautious then to ignore it and let it bother you. Clearly it's bothering you so definitely go! Good luck

I would definitely seek out a 2nd opinion, even just for peace of mind.
I saw Dr. Marie Chen when I found a lump, she did a needle biopsy and it ended up being a benign fatty lipoma. I thought she was great, really put my mind at ease.
Her office is located in New Hyde Park (516) 365-2144.

You should definitely seek a second opinion but I do know your breast is wacky in the several months postpartum whether you breast feed or not. I never really established a good milk supply when I had ds in July but was able to feed a little bit. I stopped in September and have had a weird pain in my breast too. All testing came back normal but I was told that despite not breast feeding for several months my breast (ducts) still has milk but at the same time they are drying out so the discomfort is from my breast trying to go back to normal.
