i have a monthly pass for zone 3. i need to go to zone 4 on a completely different line tonight. Do I have to buy a ticket or can i show the ticket person my pass and pay the difference?

You can pay the difference just make sure you have cash.

You just pay the step up fare. Show them your tix and they will charge you the difference
