Harassment
How do you deal when a store employee sexually harasses you? I was at Home Depot today buying bathroom floor tiles and needed help with some boxes. I asked for assistance. The man tried to rub my shoulders repeatedly, asked if I was married, and do I come there often. I was so incredibly upset by his behavior. I did report him to another employee, but I am really not happy.

Wow, I am so sorry that happened to you. That is inappropriate behavior. I would have told him to get his hands off of me! I would also call up and ask to speak to the manager and also notify corporate so a formal complaint can be written up.

Absolutely.
But since you are no longer at the store.
I would place a call and ask for a meeting with the manager. I would want to file a complaint in person.

I would have spoken to someone in charge. I was sexually harassed at work and I filed a complaint with my administrator so I would do the same elsewhere.

OMG! That's crazy. I'm sure in the moment I would have been shocked and not sure what I would have done, but now that you've had time to think about it, I think you should call the store manager and email corporate. I would think (hope) they would want to know what their employee is doing to make sure it doesn't happen again.

What you describe is harassment, just a violation. If he were touching you in a sexual manner, breasts or crotch area...then thats different. What he did amounts to nothing more then a slap on the wrist, or if he has a manager with some dignity, he would get fired. Sorry this happened to you. Next time anyone does anything inappropriate like that, report him/her to the store manager.

i wouldve reported him to the store manager and told them you are calling corporate. those bathroom tiles wouldve been free.

Follow up with corporate and list the exact date, time, and section of the store it occurred. They can check out what happened looking at their surveillance footage. So sorry this happened to you - that is so inappropriate.
