Tmi semi-parenting related question

Dh and I are TTC DC2.

Unfortunately, we've seem to hit a bit of an issue ever since DC1 was born. For some reason, any time I am remotely fertile, or if I'm about to start AF, we both get a burning sensation post-BD. For dh it's even worse, and I feel as if it's almost not worth having sex just to avoid the horrible burning afterward. I get the burning afterwards also, but I don't think it's quite as bad.

We know it's not an STD, and it only started after our first child was born.

Any ideas? Has anyone dealt with this?

I'm going to make an appointment with my obgyn tomorrow, but I feel like this is such an awful thing to deal with Chat Icon

How old is your first child? One of you could have some sort of infection and be passing it back and forth.

I would get tested for stds anyway. While it probably isn't some viruses can lay dormant in the body for decades, like HPV. Even pregnancy or giving birth can make it "come out" or "wake it up". Worth a simple test for peace of mind.

This. Burning after sex is not normal.
