flu shot
I am hearing mixed ideas about getting the flu shot while pg...what is everyone doing/what does your dr say to do?

I never got the shot before and my doctor didnt recommend it since we dont know how it might react and I didnt get sick at all last winter.

Both my family doctor and OB said I should definately get it. They said the reasoning is that if you get the flu while pregnant, your temp might get higher than if you were not pregnant and it could be very dangerous for the baby because they can't do anything about it except take Regular Tylenol. They said it is possible to get mild flu symptoms after getting the shot, but will definately be better than getting the full blown flu and not being able to treat it.

I see my OB on Sat, and I am going to ask. I have a feeling she will suggest it because I am asthmatic with a history of upper resp. infections. I'm also a teacher and my kids come to school sick pretty often.
