Fantasy Football- Tipping?
For those who either participate or DHs who participate, is it normal to tip the person who runs the pool if you win? If so how much?

Like if it's an online thing - no
If someone does it old school (like a super bowl pool) and it's done on paper, yeah - I have seen the winner tip the organizer
But not with the website ones.

No it's not through a website, its one at work where he sends out a spreadsheet with everyone's picks for the week.

Thanks for the responses. Another guy at work that also participated in the pool said you usually tip 10% so I told DH and DH said that's too much.

My brother and DH always tip the organizer if they win, and so do all of their friends. I don't think it's a percentage, but they do throw them some money for setting it up and running it.

What you are describing sounds more like a survivor or suicide pool rather than fantasy football - I have been in a survivor pool for years and it is a lot of participants and work and the winner always gives the organizer a %

Yes this is it. Sorry I don't know all this football nonsense. The thing is its MY coworker who organized it so I don't want to be cheap about it. Do you know typically what the normal % is?

My DH runs an "old school" paper football pool every season. It's a LOT of work. Some guys tip 10% some don't. During the Super Bowl he does take his cut off the top.

No way, that's CRAZY!! I run two leagues, I've run one of them for 10 years... you organize it for fun, not to make $$, it's a pain in the butt but good lord, no way would I think people should tip for this!!!

this is what we do. No set amount just something.

Fantasy Football- Tipping?
I'm in two fantasy leagues and have played in multiple sports bets including super bowl boxes and I've ALWAYS tipped the coordinator/commissioner unless it was run online or through a restaurant. This is very "old school" from when my dad was young and maybe that's why we've always done it.

DH has won the past 2 years, and he tipped $20 I think, but the guy who runs the one he does is his best friend, so maybe that's why.
