Breast Biopsy please don't move- Update!
I am not sure what I am looking for...maybe just to know that these are common and I shouldn't freak out.
I found a lump....my doctor couldn't feel it but sent me for a mammo and sono anyway. There is something there..that looks questionable.
I have to have a biopsy November 10th.
I went for the mammo/sono thinking it was NOTHING because my doctor couldn't feel it. So I felt like I was hit with a ton of bricks.
I am sure it is going to be fine but when you have kids it is so hard not to wonder and think about the what ifs!
I am not concerned about the procedure itself but just the waiting!
How long did it take for you to get your results?

Biopsy came back non cancerous.

Happens to me a lot , like 2 x the last year and a half . Better safe and have all the testing . I've had 2 biopsies this year and both came back as Benign fibro adenoma. I have a breast specialist I go to now every 6 months . I am 29 and have been dealing with this since 16 . I don't know if it's common but for me it is . Good luck and prayers your way

Breat Biopsy please don't move
I felt a lump when I was 38 1/2 weeks pregnant. My doctor felt it as well and sent me for a sonogram. Well they found a totally different lump and sent me for a biopsy. Thankfully it came back benign but now I go every 6 months for a sonogram to make sure. The results were in within 24-48 hours. Not sure if they rushed because I was super pregnant. Best of Luck.

I'm sorry  it's so scary, I know. I hope it's all a big fat nothing for you 
As far as the wait for results, I had my biopsies done on a Thursday and received my results the following Tuesday, and it was Labor Day weekend in between there.

i had a double biopsy a few years ago. it def. felt and looked like something but it was nothing. i got the results in about a week or less.
but now i have the brca gene... so im paranoid about the future.

I don't have any personal experience with the Biopsy. My MIL had one last year and she had informal results from her dr within 2 days. They were still waiting for the full report to come in but they did know it was something at that point. I just wanted to offer and  . I found a lump a few months ago and I know how scary it is when you initially find the lump, especially having little kids. My dr couldn't feel it either and sent me for a mammo and sono and it was determined to be nothing. It's a cyst that comes and goes when I have my period. Just wanted to offer hugs and say good luck!!!

Ive been going for mammos and sonos for 10 years now. Im 40 years old. Ive had a few biopsies as well. The procedure itself is really not bad. I had very little pain. Its the waiting for the results that are excruciating. Im sure they are just being cautious. Im praying its nothing!! Do not google and think the worst. Stay positive

Breast Biopsy please don't move
I found a lump, my dr sent me for a mammogram and then I had the biopsy. It was done on a Friday and the negative results were in on Tuesday. It is scary, I found the biopsy painless and just iced the area on and off for 24 hours. Best of luck!!!! Prayers to you

I have had two biopsies. The first was when I was a few months pregnant with my DS and still nursing my DD (which made it trickier). That was a fine needle biopsy. Biopsy done on Tues, results on Thurs.
I just had another biopsy done (2 years after the first). This one was a larger sample - a core needle biopsy. It did hurt a bit, but the lump in my breast was already causing pain, so that might have contributed. Biopsy on a Thursday, results the following Tuesday.
The waiting for the results is the hardest part. I definitely was thinking a lot of thoughts, especially since I have two small children. I just kept reminding myself that most lumps are not cancer. Good luck!
