canker sore

Ugh, I have one for the first time in years! I have been so stressed lately and think it is from that....how does one get rid of this? I have tried listerine, salt water, coconut oil and nothing has helped. It hurts!

Re: canker sore

Just time and try not to eat anything acidic. Ambesol or something similar is a temporary relief.

I get them constantly (which is weird because I have OCD and never put my fingers in my mouth). The best thing for me was a tube of the numbing stuff, I can't remember the name but I got it at CVS. I saw on Pinterest something about using cream of tartar but I haven't looked into it.

Re: canker sore

I add lysine to my vitamin regime when I get them. Also I lighten my acidic food intake and increase my yogurt intake.

I read this somewhere, started taking a B12 supplement daily, and still get them! So frustrating!

Re: canker sore

I get them alllllll the time from stress. The only thing I found that works is dipping a qtip in water. Roll the qtip in salt and hold it directly on the canker sore for as long as you can. It hurts like hell. But clears up in two days.
