Re: If you go out for the day with your DC

Yes definitely!

DD is almost 8 mos old and everytime we take her out for the day which is not often at all she doesn't nap like her usual and it throws her off. She isn't as portable as when she was 3 mos and younger.

Re: If you go out for the day with your DC

DS (4 Months) usually naps more when we are out and about... Especially if he is in his stroller or the car... The movement puts him right to sleep. But if we are out at someones house or some place he hasn't seen he refuses to go to sleep... I think he he thinks he is going to miss something

Re: If you go out for the day with your DC

Im always on the go. Babies will adapt to your schedule, and whatever is going on. Sometimes they sleep MORE, depending on where you go and what youre doing, etc. I know my boys would sleep long in their strollers if we were outdoors, the fresh air relaxes them and they get GOOD restful naps taking a walk.
and also in the car, they sleep more too.

Yes. She's one now but it's always been that way. I really try to get home for her naps because if I don't we somehow end up with just one nap because she'll catnap in the car and that will be the end of it.

Re: If you go out for the day with your DC

Yes, thats why I hate taking them out! It throws them off for the day, and then they get overtired and won't sleep at night!

Sunday is his christening and without any naps during the day I cannot even begin to imagine how he will be at night.

If he is tired during the day - he will fall asleep.
And if he doesn't nap his normal times - I would think that he would get a good nights sleep

Re: If you go out for the day with your DC

A "big day" is overwhelming for ANY BABY,so sunday dont go thinking somethings wrong Chat Icon
Its a very long day for them in this gorgeous but probably not so comfy christening outfit, everyone ooh-ing and aah-ing over them, being passed from person to person, etc.
Its a very long, stimulating day for them. I remember John anthony was fussy and not too happy on his christening day, towards the evening.

Just try to make the best of every minute, smack anyone who goes near him when he's sleeping (except me Chat Icon )

more! Abby loves being wheeled around in her infant carrer & stroller. Even in loud places- she just napped at Panera's & it was packed! She's only 2 months old though so she'll nap anywhere!

I could never smack you away. That is if he sleeps. He won't, not with all the rucus going on...LOL

Yesterday he was up from 2pm until his bedtime. He refused to go down. Except for the 5 minutes he had on Aunt Lisa's shoulder.

So we brought him with us to the baptism conference last night at OLMC. Waste of time! I had him sitting on the table and he starts babbling while the guy doing the conference was speaking. That there was this little baby girl sitting across the table from him and he kept turning and smiling and squealing away...LOL
