Moms of 3: What cars do you and DH drive?
My lease is up soon and I need to look at cars. I've had Honda Accords for at least 6 years. We own a Honda Odyssey, which we use as our main car on the weekends and for long trips. My boys are 3 and almost 7. We're not TTC yet, but hope to have a 3rd child within the next 12-18 months.
I put about 20,000 miles on my car each year, mostly from work. I don't really want a second minivan. I like Hondas, but am not opposed to looking at other brands. I'd like something that is reasonably priced, fits 3 kids comfortably and does pretty well in the snow. What cars do you and DH drive? What features do you like the most?

My girlfriend has three under the age of four.
She is planning on having her 4th next year. They want five total.
She drives a Suburban.

We have a honda odyssey and a rougue. I am not sure if the Rogue will fit 3 across as whoever has all the kids takes the minivan.
We also have a crv older model and the 3 car seats fit, 2 are boosters though. I don't think I could get 2 carseats and a booster in there.

I want my next car to be a suburban. I drove a rental one fully loaded and its AMAZING my favorite thing about it is with the 3rd row up you still have full trunk!
I don't have 3 kids but if you aren't looking for something that big and you aren't worried about trunk space than I would maybe look into a Pilot that's what I drive with 2 and I do put my nephew in there with a car seat (its a little tight but it works). esp. since you son is 7 he wont need a full car back car seat soon if he already isn't using one. also I heard the new pilots have Capitan chairs option so if you are using the third row it will be easy access.

I have a GMC Acadia with three kids in car seats and it has worked really well. Now that we're expecting #4, we will likely jump to a minivan.

GMC Acadia.
I like it... It's steady & not a minivan.
The third row is big.
The trunk space is more than the Yukon (unless you get the xl which was too big for me!)

i drive a dodge durango with bucket seats in the middle for a 3rd row. LOVE it.
my husband drives a dodge ram truck with the 3 in the back row.

my dh has an accord which actuallly has a pretty big back seat. I can fit 3 across in there but don't really do it

My husband drives a Nissan Titan and easily fits 3 across the back. I have a minivan, but we plan on moving up to a Suburban once we pay this off. We need the space for traveling and sports and we want the 4 wheel drive for driving on the beach.

i'm not a mom of 3 but my sister is and one of her cars is a jeep (besides a minivan). I also like the Buick Enclave.

None of our cars fit 3 seats without it being a pain in the butt. We have an suv and a smaller car.
Our next car is a minivan. It's half the price of a suburban (which is what we really wanted).

I drive a minivan and my DH has the sonata which is like the accord and can fit 3 across but I think we have only done it a couple times. With #4 on the way, DH is planning to get the pilot, and I'm thinking about getting a suburban but the odyssey is paid off so I like no payments lol.

gmc yukon XL. I have to say I love the space. Captain chairs in second row and third row up all the time plus full size trunk! Great for long term with 3 boys...I expect to have lots of sports equipment and friends for carpool.
