I am looking to buy a custom umbrella that would say her name and shower date. any idea where I can get this?

I agree. People will be more likely to use them. Love the idea of the umbrella though.

I agree with the above -- great idea though!! You can somewhat personalize it by finding an umbrella with similar colors as her shower's color scheme or a design with something that you are doing as a theme (IE: Eiffel Tower for a French Parisian theme).

I would do a monogram on the umbrella, and I think it's totally cute idea. I've seen them on Etsy. I thought about making them, because I have the equipment. But never did!

But I agree with the other posters about not personalizing the actual umbrella. I would get a basic umbrella and personalize a nice hang tag for it (etsy has some cute ones)

This exactly. I would love an umbrella for a favor, but I wouldn't use it if it had someone else's name and shower date on it. I like the idea of a plain umbrella with a nice tag attached to it with her shower date and name.

Thank you all so much!!! I remember seeing someone personalizing umbrellas for a favor but I think you are right to just give out an umbrella!!! Maybe a little note about showers of happiness on the box!!

I would not use an umbrella if it had someone else's name, shower date, or their monogram on it. I would leave it at the venue or toss it as soon as I got home. It'd be a waste of money. I don't like any personalized favors (except edible). They all end up in the garbage.
I like the idea of giving an umbrella though, as that can be useful and I can never have too many umbrellas around. Go with a personalized removable tag or ribbon instead.
