Family Vacation (28 + people)
We are looking to plan a trip for next summer with our extended family. We are about 28 people total and would love to rent a house somewhere fun. We did VA beach 2 years ago and loved it but are looking for a new location with less travel time, hopefully.
Outer Banks is too expensive.
Any other ideas?

What about somewhere on the Jersey Shore? There are so many different towns to choose from.

Wouuld look on a site like home away. Maybe upstate New York on a lake, or in the Poconos. I don't think you will find a nice house to accommodate that many people on the Jersey Shore. I looked into it last year, and most of them were dumps. Nothing like the house as you would find further down south

A few summers ago we did Rehoboth.
Not that many people but the house we stayed in I believe had at least 6 bedrooms and was brand new construction with a bathroom off each room and a hot tub/grill outside about a block from the beach and within walking distance to the main area with Boardwalk, restaurants and shoppes.
I remember seeing houses of all sizes.
And nothing run down either like in Jersey.
My SIL booked it and said many houses have pools too. This also had several balconies and a large screened in front porch.
ETA: I also believe the couches in the living room opened up into beds. There were like 4 of them at least.

We go away with dh's while family almost every year. We have done rehoboth, jersey shore and Vermont.

we had about 20 people at the jersey shore (10 adults and 10 children). we could have squeezed 28 into the house, but landlord regularly visited house and stayed in garage apartment.

Our family of about 40 does lake George , we don't rent one house though, we all get our own cottages in the same place.
