The official vent about your IL's thread
As a result of us hijacking Janice's thread, I thought it be best if we had thread for all of us.

I love that SIL keeps telling us how it's all going to change once the baby comes (no kidding!) and how bad she had it because her DH is an idiot (well, you chose to marry him and have 2 kids with him) and "there's no turning back now."

I love how MIL can't accept that I feel good and everytime she asks and I tell her she says "really? You don't feel tired? you don't feel sick?"
Yes, I feel great! Maybe my body was designed for this baby making stuff!

I love how my BIL's wife is still yet to acknowledge the fact that I'm pregnant- and I'm due in two weeks. And part two of that, I love how my in-laws (my DH included) think I should make a truce with this evil wench. A truce is out of the question as far as I'm concered, but I'm ore than willing to push her off a bridge if they'd like.

I love how my MIL and FIL can sit back and watch my mom pay for everything for the baby and not feel bad at all. I just told dh that there is no way she is paying for the furniture that his parents have to half it or its coming out of our accts. These 2 are something else.

My sister had the same exact situation my parents offered to pay for her daughter's furniture and her in-laws did not (they could not afford to I guess). At first she was upset but the truth as my mother explained to her is the furniture is the baby's parents responsibility not the grandparents. It was a nice gesture that my parents offered to pay for it because they could. But her in-laws were not obligated. Her in-laws gave gifts that they could afford to give to the baby. It does not mean they love them any less.

I love how my ILs don't seem to care, as they never call to see how I'm doing or anything.
The sad part is that DH seriously believes that they will send presents when  is born.

No she doesn't have any kids. And they don't have any intentions of having them for a while- and from what BIL said they are only planning on having one.

I love how my FIL and MIL (they're divorced and have both expressed this separately) say that I'm doing a HORRIBLE thing by going back to work 12 weeks after the baby is born (due in May on last day of school - college starts in early sept) - as if it's they're business!

I love how my MIL gave me a big when I told her I couldn't have lunch meat or sushi and I would just eat a yogurt instead.
Then she says "You're starting to sound like Debbie." (my SIL)
Ummm....yes. Most pregnant ladies have the same restrictions. SIL wasn't making it up.

Sounds like my in laws!! My family does everything for us and they just sit back and do nothing. I am so sick of them and I'm to the point where I just don't want to be bothered.
They have plenty to share with there first grandchild too you think they would be excited. It freeking kills me.

update on my issue from last night:
one of the "gifts" sold on ebay today..it will cover hotel. I am not as mad anymore. The funny thing is that he does not even know about the gift selling on ebay, and still has not offered a cent towards hotel.

I loved it when I told my MIL I hadn't gained any weight yet, and she said "really? I think you have..I see it in your face, it looks fuller and your butt looks wider too!!"
I felt like saying "oh yeah, well I'm pg.....what's your excuse????"
