Essex Polar Express
Have anyone gone? Reviews? Can it be a day trip.or do I need a hotel? Looks to be about 2.5 hours away. Anything else to do in Essex if we go for the day?

we went. we stayed over night and made a weekend out of it. 95 can be hellish so I wouldn't want to go up and down in one day.
its right near mystic and old mystic village so we went there the next day before going home.

we alwasy stay overnight. We get there in the afternoon, hang at the hotel (usually has indoor pool), then go to dinner and then to the train. Its usually late when we get off so we go back to hotel for bed and do breakfast in the morning and leave.

Is 19 months to young for this? I was watching youtube videos and it looks awesome but now I am thinking maybe my DD is too young.

my daughter loved it! we rented a whole car and the kids ranged from 6 months to like 10 and every single one of them was having a blast.

I would wait - we are planning on taking DD who will be 23 months, but we are only going because DS who is 5 loves it. If it were just DD we would be waiting until she is 3 - which is how old DS was when we first took him.
I don't think they will be interested in it at all at 18 months, plus if she's like my DD getting her to sit still the entire time is not going to be fun.
