Facebook timeline...
Happy Monday!
Does anyone know how you can prevent your FB friends from seeing when you add a new friend on FB? I did a search online and it said to follow some steps which I did but it did not work.
I have a friend IRL who mentions everytime that I add a new friend "oh I saw you are friends with blah blah blah on FB" and while she does not mean any harm it gets kind of annoying after awhile.
I know I could probably do something with her status to stop her seeing my updates but I wish FB would allow you to do a general black out on your timeline activity or does it?

There is no way to block that unfortunately. Facebook has taken away a lot of privacy options in the past years. Now everything you do is pretty much public info for your friends (everything you comment on or "like" in an open group, or open page, or friend with loose privacy settings, can be seen by ALL of your friends).

Thank you - so this is the strange thing....I went to the link paramount sent and it was the same one I found yesterday...but when I went to activity log ..more...friends...the friends option is no longer there!!! so i just opened up my friends page and found a privacy option that says only I can see the people and lists I follow - lets see if that works.
So frustrating. I really think it would be more enjoyable if they handed back some options to us FB users - we will still use and enjoy FB but on our terms not FB terms.
