Bananas not ripening?
Anyone have this issue? DH bought a bunch at BJ's like 5 days ago. Still green as can be and hard as a rock.
Are they just a bad batch that will never ripen?
Can i do something to get them moving?

Bananas not ripening?
I think that happens when they were accidentally refrigerated (or maybe kept in super cold AC). Not sure if there's anything you can do to rehabilitate them though.

Bananas not ripening?
I put a banana in my bag on my way to work and it has already ripened by the time I get there. I think because it is dark in my bag.

that is so weird, my bananas have been turning brown before we can eat them all! My kitchen is the only room with no ac though so maybe the heat has something to do with it

This happens to me often with bananas from Costco. I find that if they're really green (I call them Shreck bananas) that they never actually get yellow. No clue why. Maybe try putting them in a brown paper bag, I remember my mom doing this with some fruits growing up. I always think to do this but then I don't have any around.

If you have an apple, add that to the bag.

I've had that happen too. Drives me nuts. Tried the brown bag and nothing happens with them.

I've had bananas stay completely green on the outside but the inside was ripe. Very strange.

We bought bananas at BJs about 2 weeks ago.
They were as green as can be and then turned brown, never yellow.
DH and I thought it was weird too.

That has happened once to me. Never ripened (left them in brown bags, and nothing). Finally I decided to cook them like plantains (I never like anything to go to waste, lol).

this happens to me a few times from BJs so I no longer will buy bananas there for that reason. have you opened one to see if they are actually good cause I have heard they could be though they didn't turn.
I aslo have been having issue with bananas turning brow quickly I always try to buy ones that are still green for this reason
