Where to return toy? Update

My BIL gave my DS the VTech Sit to Stand Cruiser for his birthday at the end of June. When I went to open it up it was missing a major piece to the toy. I called Vtech and they want me first to send the toy back. I don't have a box big enough to send it back and honestly it's inconvenient. Think buy buy baby will take it back? My BIL didn't give a gift receipt with the item.

Babies R Us took it right back. No questions asked and I exchanged it for the same item with all the parts lol.

I would just send it back to vtech. honestly that is the best thing to do and sometimes those companies send extra gifts for your hassle =)!

Can't they just send you the missing piece? Little Tikes did such a great job helping me out when a piece was missing to something I ordered. I would hope Vtech would be just as generous.

Re: Where to return toy?

why not just tell your BIL the toy is missing a piece and you have to exchange it to the store which store did he get it at and if he has the receipt?

with that said if buy buy baby has it you can return it there if its an even exchange it shouldn't be a issue to just exchange if you just want store credit they now take 20% off the price with no receipt

BIL lives far away so I thought I could handle it first. V-tech as been horrible to work with so far. No luck at Buy Buy Baby. They said it has some sticker on it and they know it is not from them. It is probably from Babies R Us. I'll try tomorrow.

I would try target. They're usually good with returns with no receipt.

What does the sticker look like? I'm a pretty avid shopper and worked in retail for years. I can almost definitely tell you where it's from based on the sticker lol

It's a somewhat big yellow sticker with a bar code on it, on bottom of the box. I'll try to get a picture. I left it in my car. They seemed to think babies r us when I went to buy buy baby. I'm a pretty avid shopper and returner myself but returning toys and baby items i'm still getting better at!

Big yellow sticker sounds like Kohl's.

Yellow could be babies r us also. I'd have to see. Take a pic... Or download the shop savvy app. You can scan the barcode and see which local stores sell it
