Back to Dr.or still viral?? what would you do?

So my daughter Ava last Sunday had a fever, at at 101.7. Took her to PM peds to make sure it wasnt her ears since she is prone to getting them. Dr. says everything ears and throat looks fine at that its viral. Monday the fever continued kept her home from school. She attends DDI for the summer. Now Tuesday all of a sudden the fever spikes to 103.5 and she doesnt want to eat or drink. So I go to her pediatrician for a re-check to make sure pm peds was right. Dr. then Told Same thing its Viral...and she will probably develop a cough. Then on Wednesday, No fever feels great. Keep her home from school one more day. At night she went to dance class and did great. Now Thursday she wakes up feeling great, no fever but she does have a cough now like dr. said would happen. Goes back to school. She came home had dinner took a bath, then this morning at 4:00am she comes in to wake me up because she has to go potty. But already had an accident her sleep. She then tells me she needs tylenol. So i feel her and she is burning up again. 102.7. So now I dont want to look like a crazy mom but should I take her back to the Dr. again today? I dont know why there was no fever for 2 days and now its back? I feel so bad for her. She loves school and I hate that she cant be there but I cant send her sick. My question is if her ears and throat looked good is it still possible to have a UTI or strep even without a red throat. She does have sick breath. ANyway sorry for the long post. Dr. office dont open until 9:30 so I thought Id get some of your opinions. Thanks in advance.

Not sure why she would have 2 days without a fever, but there is a nasty virus going around. It knocked me out - an adult - for over a week, my fever spiked to 102.1 (again, as an adult) and motrin barely did anything. Took 3 days for the fever to go down, then it went away, and then came back for a day or two. I was out of work for 2 & 1/2 days, and worked at 1/2 my usual self for a week after. It sounds similar to what I had, honestly. I feel bad for her. I would keep an eye on the fever and any other symptoms she has, but I don't know if I would rush back to the dr just yet.

Thank you. I did hear there was some kind of nasty bug going around. It does sound similiar to what you had. I just got off the phone with the Dr. they want to see her again anyway and to check her urine since shes having accidents to make sure she didnt develop a uti on top of the virus. Im hoping this is the end of it because I hate seeing her look so sad. It breaks my heart. Being sick in the summer is no fun.

I agree, I must have missed the accident part, sorry. I don't blame them. Poor thing. I hope she feels better fast!

My DD has the same thing your dd has. And Now I have it too! My Dd seems to be better but mine morphed into a throat infection. I wuld wait it out a day or two if her only symptom is still fever. This fever virus sucks, I havent had fever in like 10 years!!!
