Best Disney dining spot to make a reservation at

In your opinion, what are the two best must visit Disney dining spots for a 3 yr old and 1 yr old? There are so many! I've been told that the "Be our Guest" one is great and "Cinderella ' s Royal table" is good also. Is there dining in the actual castle? Do the character's walk around and meet and greet? How are these places? My daughter loves Princess Sofia, Frozen and Mickey mouse.

Also looking for an amazing fun restaurant that the whole family can go to Grandparents, kids, grandkids, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Best Disney dining spot to make a reservation at

In my opinion, the two best Dining spots are Chef Mickey's (At The Contemporary) and Hollywood & Vine (At Hollywood Studios). Chef Mickey's is so much fun for the whole family. Has Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Goofy..it's a must every trip! I enjoy their breakfast there!

Hollywood & Vine is another must because my kids LOVE Disney Jr. The characters are Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Handy Mandy and Jake of the Never Land Pirates. The characters come around and they do a sing and dance along. It's really cute! Also a great way to meet the characters without waiting in line.

Also, Frozen characters at the moment don't do character dining but there is a meet and greet at Magic Kingdom, which a FP is kind of a must. The lines tend to get long. And there's a whole Frozen experience over at Hollywood Studios..parade, fireworks, which is Frozen themed but they only meet currently at Magic Kingdom.

Must add if you are planning to go to Animal Kingdom, then I would go to Tusker House. Their breakfast is sooo good! And the characters are Donald, Daisy, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. They do a parade around the restaurant ...really cute!

Best Disney dining spot to make a reservation at

Had lunch at Be Our Guest...the food was good. Just didn't have any characters during lunch time. I think the Beast comes during dinner.

Never been to Cinderella's Royal Table. I want to try next time. It's actual dining in the castle. We did do Akershus in Epcot with my girls since they love princesses. That was cute too.

We really liked Be Our Guest...we've done breakfast and dinner there...we also loved Cinderella's Royal Table (in the castle)...the character interactions couldn't be beat there! I prefer to do character meals outside the parks on days that we don't go to the park...we liked 1900 Park Fare, but my kids are a big older and loved Mary Poppins and the Alice characters...we also like Cape May Cafe...its not as crazy as some of the other character meals since its smaller...

I don't have girls so can't comment on the princess stuff, but Like other posters said, Hollywood & Vine is allot of fun for the kids and you get a ton of great pic's with the Disney Jr characters.

I would also highly recommend Tusker House for breakfast or lunch in Animal Kingdom. Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck & Goofy and they walk around the restaurant to each table & dance around to music.

I did Be Our Guest for Lunch back in December and I don't think I would do it again. Nothing was really going on there for lunch and food was just ok.

We enjoyed Ohana for breakfast. Character meal. Mickey kilo and stitch and Godoy I think maybe Pluto. They come to each table to take pictures. There's a little dance party that they do and a conga line. We had fun.

Re: Best Disney dining spot to make a reservation at

I booked Be Our Guest for dinner but moreso for me, since Beauty & the Beast is one of my fave Disney movies.

Also booked Chef Mickey for brunch on a non-park day. DS is not super into Disney characters so he will be fine.

He asked to go to T-Rex though, which seems like it would be more up his alley. That's the only other place I booked.

At all of the character meals, the characters walk around and stop at each table for photos. It becomes a question of what characters you want to see, what type of food you want to eat, and how much you want to pay. Breakfast is the least expensive meal, then lunch, then dinner. Some character meals are only one specific meal (like breakfast or dinner). Some character meals have different characters for breakfast and dinner.

For the classic Disney characters (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Goofy - or some combination thereof) Tusker House in Animal Kingdom, Chef Mickey at the Contemporary, or Cape May at Beach Club. For multiple princesses, Akershus in Epcot, or Cinderella's castle at Magic Kingdom. Winnie the Pooh characters can be found at Crystal Palace. Lilo & Stitch can be found at O'hana at the Polynesian (Mickey and Pluto are here too). Chip & Dale can be found at Garden Grill in Epcot (and farmer Mickey). 1900 Park Fare has Alice in Wonderland characters and Mary Poppins at breakfast, and Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella at dinner. Disney Jr characters are at Hollywood & Vine at Hollywood Studios. Be Our Guest is the only place to see Beast, but he is only around for dinner.

Menus for the various places can be found on Disney's website, or Allears.net (much easier to navigate than Disney's website).

For fun - there is Biergarten in Epcot, Hoop Dee Do Revue at Wilderness, or Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness. The two at Wilderness might be a bit loud for the little one though.

Wow! Thank you so much for all this great info. Very helpful! Now I'm about to try to get us on a reservation list but is it true that kids 3 and under are free? Does this mean I don't count them in the reservation number? I'm inclines to count my infant and toddler in the headcount for a reservation at Cinderella's Royal table, I'm thinking there may be a space problem if I dont. What would u do? TIA
