Biting...
Noah keeps biting me and its REALLY painful, its mainly my shoulders while I am holding him. He has 7 razor sharp teeth. Any tips on getting him to stop this???

I'm having the same problem, with slapping, scratching and just general temper tantrums. Yesterday, Alex was so mad at me because I wouldn't let her down to crawl around the tile store, so she started slapping me and scratched my cheek. Usually I either ignore her, or I look her straight in the eye and say NO ALEX in a very stern voice. Doesn't seem to be doing much though

My mother (may she rest in peace) use to say to pinch the top of their ears when they are biting you. I believe she did it with my nephews and it worked.

Going through the same thing right now. I was actually going to post a pic of the damage she has done to my shoulder but its starting to heal now. She was biting a lot about 2 months ago and for some reason she stopped on her own...BUT it is back with a vengence!!! Now she clamps down and then rips her teeth away! (if that makes sense)...like a lion would do to its dead prey 
DH and I are afraid of her

I am definitely having this probelm with my 9 month old. He's left bruises and broken skin. I keep saying I'm going to end up on Dr. Phil confessing that I am a battered mother. I like to tell myself that its a sign of affection. Makes me feel a little better even if its not true!

My dd has taken to doing this too, but right now, she only does it to DH.

My DD went through this and yes she would clamp down and pull away leaving marks and breaking the skin she would do it alot when she would give me a kiss I would pinch her ear or pinch her feet to make her let go and when she did I would take two fingers and tap her mouth and look her in the eye and say no bite it actually worked and now she is two and still to this day after she gives me a kiss she says no bite mommy
