I find that there is a wide range and some of it can be area dependent. I asked my kids (6 and 8). They had never heard of glitzy globes or orbeez. I find it interesting to see what is popular with others.
By me there is a wide range. Everyone wants shopkins. They want the 12 packs and the sets. They trade them.
Barbies, monster high, and Legos (friends or elves). Arts and crafts are very popular.
GC to Barnes & Noble, Michaels or AC Moore GC, movie GC, General GCs.
I see sets like...a towel, GC to get nails done at a place nearby, flip flops and a robe. Or a cute outfit too.

what are 6 yr old girls into?
My daughter is almost 6 and she loves disney barbie princesses, glitter glide or magi clip princesses, anything art related such as crayons, paints, coloring books and so on. She also loves to read and everything girly. Nailpolish, eos lip balm, hair bows, hair brushes, body wash, jewelery. When you think "typical" little girl that's her.

I have a 6 yr old DD.
Her favs are Shopkins, Kinetic sand, play dough, arts and crafts, Shopkins and more Shopkins. They are so silly, I totally don't get the obsession, but they're the biggest thing.

Sorry to high jack but what store carries glitz globes? My dd never heard of them either so i googled and she fell in love hahahhah shes 5 and a half.
She also loves princess anything. And her new fave game is Jenga. Shes really good! Lol
