Getting rid of the bottle at bedtime?

My DD is almost 2 and we are getting ready to stop giving her a bottle at bedtime. It is soothing to her and she always asks for it after her night time routine of bath and bedtime story. Any tips?

Getting rid of the bottle at bedtime?

My ds 16m started only drinking like 1/4 of his nigjt time bottle a few weeks ago. I decided last week to put less milk in a sippy cup instead of a bottle. Now he doesn't associate it with bed time because it is in a cup, plus he only will take a few sips and that's it. So maybe try switching to cup first and see how that works

That's what we did. And then just telling DS he can have water then and milk in the morning. He never missed it. I was more worried about it than anything, but it was easy to get him off the bottle.
