Need help finding CHEAP BIG SPACE for few nights!
Hey y'all!
I need a big empty space that is indoors with lighting. I'm with a group that is painting a large banner (approx 40 by 60 feet) for a few days. Any ideas? We would need to use it a few days/nights at a time once every couple of months. The closer to public transportation, the better. Any ideas? We ended up using the church of a basement in a pinch but it wasn't ideal and not big enough. Need an NYC location, (or as far west in Nassau) if possible.

Check with some local Ys - some have large space that they may rent out for a few days.
You can also rent meeting space at a hotel. I would advise on looking in Nassau for that because rental fees in the city are astronomical and require food and beverage minimums as well.
You can contact the Hampton Inn in Rockville Center. I know they have space and it is walking distance from the LIRR.
In the city you can also look into Loft Space but again, rentals are usually extremely high.

Check fire departments. On long island they have large halls to rent so maybe they have the same on the city
