Contact a broker in El Paso who is connected to a major nationwide brokerage company - Coldwell Banker, Century 21, etc. We had to sell a place in NJ that was in awful condition and called several of them before choosing who to use. Good ones will be able to help you and perhaps suggest a local lawyer to use.

Definitely contact a few local realtors, as pp said. Also, look online (Zillow) to see what similiar homes in El Paso have sold for. You want to make sure you are priced well for the market otherwise it will sit on the market. Good luck!

Thank you! Makes sense using a nation wide company. Would we have to be there for closings our anything? It's old land that my grandfather just wants to get rid of. I don't even think he's ever seen it.

No you would not need to be there. Your local lawyer in El Paso could handle the closing. However, it would be wise to have a lawyer up here look over the contract and any other paperwork before closing.
Checking prices on zillow is a good idea, but it can be hilariously wrong. I checked my own house on it once and was told it was worth $23 million. I so wish it were! Instead, when you call to speak to El Paso brokers get opinions from at least two different firms. If two firms seem to roughly agree on what the land is worth, then you can be assured that is what it should be.
