Milk allergy reactions
DD had a milk allergy when she was 3 mos and was put on elecare formula (she had head to toe eczema and had blood/mucus in her stool.)
Now that's she's 1, we got blood work done to test for the allergy and it can back ok so we started adding milk to her bottles. The day after she started she woke up with one red dot on her face and a few days later she had tiny bumps on her tummy. Her stool has been perfectly normal.
Im thinking she still had an allergy...anyone have thoughts on this? Or maybe experience something similar??
I'm confused if she does still have the allergy being her blood work came back fine...

Re: Milk allergy reactions
My DD had a milk protein allergy too but didn't have eczema. She had the blood in the stool and bad GI issues. We gradually at 1 yr introduced milk with her formula by 1/2 an ounce every two weeks. We took our time and then slowly introduced yogurt, however on a day we would give her yogurt we wouldn't put whole milk into her formula. By 16 months she was fully off the formula and had 100% out grew her allergy. We never had her tested a second time but we just took our time introducing whole milk into her diet. Even if she tests that she is fine she could still be a little sensitive so take your time.

Milk allergy reactions
My dd never tested pos for an allergy but she just has an intolerance for it and will get these exzema like spoltches on her thigh if she has ice cream. She will have a gi reaction if she has milk or too much ice cream. Shes fine with yogurt and cheese. She cannot tolerate anything beyond that. When she was an infant she was on alimentum and actually stayed on until 15 months. We tried at 12 months will reg milk and she had horrible gi reaction. I stopped. Dr said try again at 15 months, i did and same thing so i switched to Almond milk. She loved it and still does at 3 years old. She still cannot tolerate milk or more than a very little bit of ice cream once in a while. I usually get the non dairy almond milk ice cream they make now for her.

Milk allergy reactions
When dd had the blood test at a year they only tested boiled milk. She had the tiniest reaction on the test but they didn't test uncooked milk which is what she reacts to. She gets small splotches on her face from uncooked milk or cheese but it happens immediately. She also has eczema
