milk at night
My son is just a few months over 2. A creature of habit, he still loves his cup of milk when he wakes up and his cup of milk after bath/before bed.
How did you cut out these habits? i am not as worried about the morning one. But at night, he has been leaking through his diapers much too often now. DH and I said this morning, we need to atleast not let him have more than the 1 cup he has (he tends to ask for more after). I figured that was a start. But when did you LO give this up? Was it on their own or did you have to take it away? what did you do?
TIA, thanks!

milk at night
We didn't. He has the morning one before daycare and then one at about 7pm. Its small cup and he goes to bed at 9ish so he has 2 hrs to pee it out before bed. He is trained and we never had issue with him wetting the bed.

Maybe we will just try and do it earlier. We usually do bath at 7:45, milk at 8, bed at 9ish. If i look at his diaper before bed, it is usually dry. I had hoped that I could just do another quick diaper change.
thanks!

Re: milk at night
We brush teeth & say no more milk after teeth brushing.
Our last milk is dinner (usually about 2 cups).
We may give a small amount of water after teeth brushing (1/3 cup). Never had a diaper leak.
We don't give kids "free access" to milk & water though (no sippy cups within reach, etc.). They drink at meals & if they ask.
