Can someone please explain
21 Day Fix / Beach Body / Shakeology to me? Are they three separate weight loss programs that people are combining to get in shape? I tried googling it, found the 21 day fix website but I'm still not clear on how it all works. Also, why do you need a beach body coach? Is it one of those lose weight quick programs and then you gain it back the min you stop eating the food? I'm tired of the quick fix diets. I really want to change my lifestyle and get healthy the "right way" .
Thanks

I think that BB/Shakology is a combination of super nutrient dense protein shakes + workout program (I think similar to Insanity?). Unsure if you need a coach to do it or not.

Re: Can someone please explain
beach body is a company that sells various exercise programs like 21 day fix, insanity, etc
shakeology is a meal replacement shake they sell, you can use it alone or in conjunction with any of their exercise progams
21 day fix is an exercise/eating program by autumn calabrese sold through beach body
your best bet is to go to the beach body website I know there is at least 1 rep on the boards so im sure she will answer you when she sees this

If you want to get healthy the "right" way I would start with looking at the food that you put into your body. Can you pronounce the ingredients? Do you even know what the ingredients are?
Other than that I would just focus on portion control.

That's exactly what 21DF helps you achieve. You do NOT need to pair it with shakeology to see results. It is all about meal planning, eating the correct portions for you (using easy to use color coded containers) and a minimum of 1 thirty minute workout a day (included) Shakeology has a ton of nutrients and vitamins in it that help you stay healthy while adjusting to a new lifestyle.
I am not a coach. Just someone who uses it. Unfortunately after starting off really good, I had some dental issues arise and "fell off track" back to snacking and eating too many carbs! I am hoping to get back on and lose 20 pounds by the end of the summer!!

When I tried to lose weight after giving birth to DS, the only thing that really worked for me was WW... it wasn't too bad to track because you can just download an app on your phone.

Re: Can someone please explain
For me, the results in my body are 100% controlled by my brain.
I was a complete carb, sweets, junk food addict with a great metabolism who could eat anything I wanted, anytime I wanted. With my 40th birthday approaching, my clothes started to get tight, uncomfortably tight. I started losing my self confidence, feeling really badly about myself. When I was home, I was wearing my DH shirts because they weren't tight. People on the outside always said I looked fine, but I felt terrible.
About a month and a half ago, I did a complete overhaul. I am working out at least 5 times a week. I follow a site called BodyRock which is awesome and free!
When it came to the food, I started using My Fitness Pal, an app that I could use to track what I was eating. It made me very aware of what junk I was taking in. I went cold turkey on the junk food and now am eating tons of salads, fruits and veggies.
For me, it's all about getting rid of the justifications. The way I would justify eating poorly. "Oh, it's a party, it's a holiday, it's the day after the party and I don't want the leftovers to go bad"....
In my opinion, once you can get control of your mind and force yourself to exercise and make good eating choices, you are changing your lifestyle. A month and a half in, I'm starting to see some really awesome results. I'm sure all the shakes, fixes and coaches are great for some people. But for me, I want this to be a forever change.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

Re: Can someone please explain
I love beachbody/Shakeology. I love it because its all about clean eating, I felt ww pushed a lot of prepackaged foods so that points were easier to count. Im finishing up the piyo series now and planning on starting 21 day fix next.

Re: Can someone please explain
I have been doing 21 Day Fix and drinking Shakeology for two weeks now and love it so far. I was looking to change my habits and this has really helped. I already see a huge change in my energy. Truthfully I haven't done the workouts yet because my schedule has been awful and I keep making excuses. Hoping to change that with the next round. I'm not a coach.
